The hospital was quiet. No noises could be hear except for the occasional medic checking up on patients. One room in particular was very quiet, more so than any other. This room belonged to Tora Otome. Through his own recklessness, pride, and stupidity he had ended up unconscious and in critical condition.
The sun shone through an open window, the breeze gently accompanying the rays of the sun. In the room lay a bandaged up Tora. The external wounds were light and didn't need much attention. The problem here was internal. Tora had done a number or his bones and muscles, nearly destroying them in a friendly sparring match with a fellow squad ten member. The damage was self-inflicted from a combination technique Tora had never used before.
Tora slept soundly, hooked up to multiple IVs and other machines to help him breathe. His clothes, zanpaktou, and sunglasses, were in the corner of the room, resting on an empty chair. Tora's breathing was light and slow, very faint. He looked so calm and peaceful that if you didn't know better one might think he was dead, or dying. That wasn't the case though, Tora had just used too much power he needed time to get it all back and let his insides heal. Attached the end of the bed was a chart that listed everything that was wrong with him.
Tora's eyes fluttered open for a minute. Everything was blurry and he was too tired to open his eyes all the way. He took in his surroundings and sighed. Oh how he hated hospitals. Not being able to remain conscious Tora fell back asleep. As he slept Tora dreamed of his sister Akemi and girlfriend Tiru. He was sure that they were worried about him. It felt nice to have people who cared. With that one thought occupying his mind Tora was out like a light and fell deep asleep.

[ML-S]
The door to the room opened. The sounds of wheels turning a little ways down the hallway outside of the room filled the room. The clacks it made after rolling over each individual tile was distinct. Whatever was coming would be there within seconds.
One of the staff members of the hospital, a young female shinigami, dressed in her nurses clothing, entered the room first. She did her best to not wake Tora, the list of things wrong with him meant he needed his rest. Quietly, she rearranged some things in the room. Moving the chair, taking care not to damage any of Tora's belongings, then moving the table in the room to a corner. The room opened up nicely, having more than enough space to fit what the other nurse was bringing.
Another staff member wheeled in a bed. It was a bed similar to the one Tora laid in, the same bed in every room of the hospital. Stranger still, the bed had a person in it. The small framed shinigami, Shiori Tiru, Tora's boyfriend, laid peacefully under the clean white sheets of the bed. Her trial in the human world took a lot out of her, not too much physically, though she wasn't going to be at her full strength for a while.
The two nurses worked to secure her bed in the room. They made sure she wouldn't roll around in the room, a standard procedure. One fluffed her pillows while the other wrote on the chart at the foot of her bed. On the chart was a note about the transfer status of the patient. Tiru had requested this room after hearing of Tora's injuries.
"Are you ok Shiori-sama?" The nurse that tended to her comfort asked. "Anything else I can do for you?"
"No thank you," Tiru replied with as much of a nod that she could muster. "And you don't need to call me -Sama. Nii-san is going to be head of the household, not me." She smiled sweetly for the nurse who gave a bow to acknowledge what Tiru said.
"Remember that you can call anytime you need something Shiori-san."
"I will, thank you."
The nurses left the room, shutting the door behind them. Now alone with Tora, her boyfriend, Tiru looked to her right. Her head rested on the pillow while she facing him, wondering how long he'd been sleep. Tiru felt horrible for not being there to help him, to protect him. She had no idea why he was in the hospital, but she knew that she wasn't there to prevent it.
There was also the case of their relationship that needed discussed. It may not have been the best time, but Tiru didn't want to wait. She needed to know if she really loved him, or if she was only trying to find someone to distract her from Hana. She sighed lightly, looking at him brought more confusion than she had expected.

Tiru refuses to fight to her full capabilities without good reason. With that thought, she created this technique. Asshuku sa reta kaminari is first a limiter. It takes her perceived power down to that of a ML-W (no matter what rank she is). The perception of her power by those strong at sensing reiatsu will see that she is stronger than a ML-W (ref rank chart). With her power lowered, she will only be able to fight to the strength of a ML-S. As to not confuse anyone, Tiru becomes ML-S but is viewed as (Ref rank chart)
The first effect, the limiter, will always be active unless stated otherwise.
The second effect is a basic, very low, healing of the body when she allows all of her compressed energy to flow out. It will seemingly return the majority of her stamina, heal minor wounds (light cuts, bruises, etc), and give her access to her full strength.
Beginner Rei control = Tiru will look to be that of a ML-W
Below Average = Tiru will look to be that of a ML-W
Average= Tiru will look to be that of a ML-W
Above Average = Tiru will look to be that of a ML-A

Tora had been asleep for quite a while now. His dreams had jumped around showing his life in chronological order. First was his sister was being born, then the deaths of both his sister and himself. The dream then jumped to the time in the sixty-ninth district of the Rukongai, followed by his time at the academy. Tora's memories then jumped to when he obtained shikai. After that was when he met Tiru for the first time, when he confessed and got rejected, and finally to the time she invited him to her house and confessed to him. Finally the memory of what put him in the hospital flooded his mind. Thinking of Tiru and his wounds caused yet another thought to cross his mind. "They're probably waiting for me. My dear baby sister Akemi and my sweet adorable girlfriend Tiru. I need to get back to them. I can't let them worry about me any more" Tora thought.
Tora's eyes slowly opened but not all the way. His eyes seemed glossed over and didn't seem to have their usual brightness. Tora was a bit out of it due to a combination of blood loss and pain medication. Looking around the room Tora saw Tiru laying in a hospital bed right next to him. Forgetting about his own injuries Tora sat up quickly, a jolt of sharp pain ran through his chest as he almost reopened his wounds. Wincing Tora tried putting a hand on his chest only to find that it was near impossible to move his arm. The slightest movement cause a massive amount of pain. Tora couldn't think of his own pain right now and instead he focused on Tiru and spoke. "Tiru? Are you alright? Why are you here" Tora asked. His voice was very weak but it had a tone of genuine concern. At the moment he had no idea if the Tiru he was seeing was real or merely something his imagination has created, either way it was a bitter-sweet moment. On one hand he was happy to see Tiru but on the other hand it pained him to see Tiru hurt.
Tora saw all the IVs and machines hooked up to him and figured he had done more damage to himself than he thought. He was tempted to rip the out but with Tiru staring at him and due to the fact that he couldn't move his arms or even twitch his fingers without experiencing a lot of pain made Tora forget that idea. Tora's legs weren't much better than his arms, in fact they might have been worse. As for his insides it felt like a combination of an intense burning sensation mixed with a throbbing stabbing pain, like being pierced by swords. Lesson learned; practice newly created moves extensively before using them in actual combat. The longer he sat up the more pain he felt in his chest, but that didn't matter at the moment. All Tora cared about was making sure Tiru was alright and wondering what put her in the hospital.

Whatever the cause of his injuries must have been great. Tora slept in his bed for a long time, much longer than Tiru expected him to. It only made her guilt feel that much stronger. How could she have let this happen to him? She knew that she couldn't always be there for everyone, but seeing someone she cared about hurt, especially when she was around to prevent it, made her feel horrible.
Tiru eyes started to get heavy. The peaceful quiet of the room, combined with the lack of anything but worry, allowed her to drift to sleep. She fought it with all the energy she had left, her eyes closing then opening again quickly. A few minutes later, Tora's eyes opened slowly. The usual glow of his beautiful blue eyes absent, looking dim and glossed over. He didn't seem to notice her right away, his eyes trailing around the room before finally realizing how had been staring him in the face.
As expected, he was surprised, not expected was his reaction. Sitting up quickly, clearly forgetting about his injuries, Tiru worried that he might open his wounds again. The bandages and machines gave the appearance of something severe. Tora winced, showing his pain slightly for a moment. Tiru felt worse knowing that her surprise made him wake with a start.
"Please Tora, relax." She said quickly, slowly sitting up in her bed while facing him.
"Tiru? Are you alright? Why are you here" His voice sounded weak though Tiru could hear how concerned he was.
Tora truly did care for her, as she did for him, but was it enough to make them lovers. They could easily be friends, the step after that wasn't so simple, and it needed to have a firm foundation. Tiru wanted it to be right, even if they would only be friends.
"Tora relax, I am alright" Tiru's voice was soft as usual, but her tone gave a more forward feel, as if the shyness that loomed over every word Tiru ever uttered had vanished. "Please don't worry. We should be more worried about you. What happened?"
Tiru could see that he couldn't quite move, so she placed her hand on his chest gently, hoping that it would comfort him. She took extra care not to press too hard in fear that he could be injured again easily. She considered Tora a delicate flower at the moment.

Tora smiled weakly as Tiru spoke and relaxed his tense muscles. He had been quite alarmed to find Tiru not only in a hospital bed but also in the same room as he was in. Tora had been sure that his room had been set up for severe injuries, hence why he had been so worried.
Something was different about Tiru, in was in the way she spoke. Tora had never heard such confidence from her before. He had always heard a hint of nervousness or anxiety in Tiru’s voice but that all seemed gone now. Her voice was still as soft as ever. ”Good. I’m so glad. I don’t know what I’d do if you got hurt” Tora said. It was clear he still had a bit of trouble breathing and his voice was still very weak.
Now came the hard part: how to explain his injuries to Tiru. After a few minutes deliberating to himself, Tora decided that he couldn’t hide anything from Tiru. ”Well to be honest this is the result of some training I did” Tora said. He went on to explain about how he had coupled together not one but two doping techniques to boost his abilities. He mentioned the drawbacks to the techniques as well. Tora wrapped up his explanation by telling Tiru what had led up to his use of the dangerous combo he had used. ”And then I passed out and when I woke up I was here” Tora said finishing his story.
Feeling Tiru’s small hand on his chest Tora once again smiled weakly and lay back down. It was nice to have someone by your side when in a place like a hospital. ”What about you Tiru? What happened” Tora asked. It seemed like every other time he saw Tiru someone was in the hospital. In fact the only times neither of them had been in the hospital had been the time they spent training, though that had gotten cut short by Tora’s confession and rejection, and the time Tiru invited Tora over to her house. He was slightly saddened by the fact that he hadn’t been there for her. Tora tried not to let that show on his face. Tiru was his girlfriend and not being there for her hurt more than anything else. Mentally Tora cursed his weakness, vowed to get stronger, and to keep Tiru safe from harm. He tried clenching fists and despite the pain he managed to do it. There was a sickening sound from his hand as he did this but Tora ignored it as he was more focused on Tiru than himself. Looking up into Tiru’s eyes Tora waited to see what she would say.

His smile was an enjoyable sight, something pleasant in a place normally filled with a nearly visible aura of sadness.
”Good. I’m so glad. I don’t know what I’d do if you got hurt”
Tiru nodded, confirming that she was alright. Tora did care a lot about her, a plus if they'd continue with their relationship. Then again, all her friends cared for her, the few that she had anyway. She could be described as a likeable person, a direct contrast to how distant she was some time ago.
His breathing sounded weak, as if his airways were constricted due to whatever internal injury he was afflicted by. She hoped that during his explanation, he'd let her know that it was nothing too severe, but she feared for the worse. His silence caused her fear to grow. If it was that bad that he couldn't tell her, then the guilt she would feel would also grow.
”Well to be honest this is the result of some training I did”
"Training?" She questioned him. Training rarely ever involved injuries, and those injuries received were never enough to hospitalize someone.
He began to tell her about different techniques used. These techniques had many uses and effects. They didn't sound all too safe, but at the same time, not something as grand to leave him in critical condition. Then he told her about his dangerous combination. It was obvious that something so crazy shouldn't have been performed. What reason could he have had to go to such lengths.
”And then I passed out and when I woke up I was here” He finished his story with.
"I see," she said, guiding him down to his bed.
He didn't need to be sitting up with all his injuries. His smile didn't ease her feelings. She didn't feel guilt, but now more of an anger. It wasn't an anger that would cause her to do anything rash, though she wasn't happy with the story he gave her. Purposely placing himself into danger like that for no reason other than training, it didn't make sense, and Tiru didn't like it. He should have known how she'd react to seeing him injured, yet he continued on with his clearly dangerous combo.
”What about you Tiru? What happened”
His question could be answered easily, though there were some details that needed to be left out. She couldn't exactly tell him, or anyone for that matter, about meeting up with Hidane. Just his name alone would stir up trouble, being a past high ranking member of the Gotei before going rogue as a vizard. Her face didn't show that she was hiding anything as she started to speak.
"Well," she started off in the same voice she had used earlier, yet with a hint of agitation at the story he had told her. "I was in the human world with Nii-san on my patrol. Somethings happened..." She paused for a second, deciding where to go from there. "I confronted Raigeki, and have achieved my bankai."
She knew that it would be a surprise to him, a shock even. Not everyone in the Gotei reached the level of bankai. It showed that Tiru's strength far exceeded that of a normal shinigami, possibly now on a Taichou's level. The event would be something to talk about once a more important topic had been touched on.
"Tora," she said his name as she leaned over his bed, having her face above his so she could look into his eyes. "I'm having doubts.... Doubts about our relationship."
She stated it very clearly. She kept her hand on his chest gently, hoping it would keep him from moving abruptly. Though unsure of their relationship, he was still a good friend, and she cared about him. Even if the injuries were inflicted on himself, something she thought about bringing up later.

With her power lowered, she will only be able to fight to the strength of a ML-S. As to not confuse anyone, Tiru becomes ML-S but is viewed as (Ref rank chart)

The second effect is a basic, very low, healing of the body when she allows all of her compressed energy to flow out. It will seemingly return the majority of her stamina, heal minor wounds (light cuts, bruises, etc), and give her access to her full strength.

Tora could see the anger in Tiru’s eyes. Had he really screwed up that much? Well he was in the hospital with mostly self-inflicted injuries so it was to be expected that Tiru wouldn’t be happy about it. Tora thought about the reason he had for insisting on using that combo. ”Sorry Tiru. I just needed to know what my limit was. I told Kagutsuchi the same thing; if I don't know what my limit is how can I protect anything, especially my loved ones” Tora asked. It didn’t help that the person he had sparred with was much stronger than he was. It seemed necessary at the time to use the techniques just to put up a good fight.
Tora could hear the agitation in Tiru’s voice. It was something he had never heard from her before, which worried him. Hearing Tiru’s story Tora was a little saddened though he didn’t show it. Tiru was hiding something from him and that hurt but she must’ve had a good reason to do so so Tora trusted her judgment and decided not to ask any questions about it. Hearing the rest of her story Tora smiled softly. ”Congratulations on achieving bankai Tiru” Tora said. His voice had a hint of happiness and pride. His girlfriend had obtained bankai, the most powerful state a zanpakto could achieve. Tora wondered when or even if he would achieve bankai.
Tora locked eyes with Tiru as she leaned over her bed. The way she had called his name made Tora think she was about to say something bad. As Tiru spoke Tora’s heart sunk like a lead brick. It was the worst thing he could have possibly imagined her saying. ”Doubts? What kind of doubts Tiru” Tora asked. His voice had a hint of panic and anxiety to it. Tora had no doubts about their relationship which made this conversation all the more painful.
Tora had the urge to sit up and talk but feeling Tiru’s hand on his chest made him reconsider. Tora took a deep relaxing breath, or as much as he could in his current condition, and focused intently on Tiru. The color was starting to come back to Tora’s eyes albeit very slowly. Had he done something wrong? Did have to do with the fact he had hurt himself and ended up in the hospital? Tora’s mind raced with ideas and how he could fix things. This was his first real relationship and he wanted to make it work. Tiru was the symbol of perfection in his eyes. She was smart, kind, beautiful, and just an overall great person. Tora had been lucky when she had agreed to be his girlfriend. Tora was willing to do whatever it took to fix things, the only question was where to start.

”Doubts?"
Doubts was the easiest way to say it. Maybe not the most clear way of expressing her feelings, her thoughts, and her desires. Still, they could be summed up with the word doubts.
"Yes doubts."
"What kind of doubts Tiru”
His voice didn't sound his norm. It had an underlying tone of panic, he was afraid of losing her. She could sense that easily, but it wasn't enough to stop the doubts she had in her mind. Rather than sugar coat it, Tiru went straight into spilling her heart.
"Tora, I spent a night a Lyn-sama's house."
She referred to him with the correct honorific. Tiru had dropped it before, feeling that she was close enough to him, that she loved him for more than a friend. It was wrong of her to do that for him, possibly wrong to refer to Tora so openly, but he was still her boyfriend for the time being.
"I'm not going to hide it from you. We laid together."
As Tiru spoke it, she pulled back from Tora. Not wanting to look into his eyes that were regaining their normal color, she looked into the distant corner of the room opposite Tora. She was always very loyal, sleeping with another that wasn't her lover, it was a betrayal. Unknown then, her trial in the human world opened her eyes to her actions. She betrayed Tora and herself by laying with Lyn.
"I'm sorry, but not for the reason you may think." The forward tone still in her voice. "It isn't to say that I don't feel some form of guilt for allowing another into the position that you were to fill, I am simply more sorry for betraying my own emotions. I shouldn't have laid with him, nor should I have so hastily agreed to being your girlfriend. Tora-kun," his honorific returning to her natural speech, "I don't think I was ready to move on from Hana when I agreed to be with you. I was searching for something to fill the void she left in my heart when she died."
For the first time, Tiru openly referred to Hana without the honorific signifying that she was her lover. The second step towards living the rest of her life, the first being her bankai trial, the next being the outcome in this room.
One of the nurses opened the door slowly, entering the room with a sad look on her face. Tiru, always in tune with others feelings, easily noticed that something was wrong.
"Is there a problem?" She asked the nurse.
"Shiori-san I have some news that you may want to hear alone."
What news could possibly come to her that she'd need to hear alone. Both Tora and Tiru were of the same division, and to everyone's knowledge, still together as boyfriend and girlfriend.
"If it isn't classified, you can tell me here."
"Okay Shiori-san. The results of one of the test has come back positive."
"What test was that?" Tiru asked plainly.
"Well," the nurse started, "when you were brought to us, we ran test on all of your vitals. Everything checked out as well enough for you to recover on your own."
"That doesn't sound very bad."
"One of your test showed that you were pregnant Shiori-san."
"Pregnant?" The words didn't register. "Are you telling me that I'm pregnant?"
"Were, Shiori-san. Your injuries have terminated your pregnancy very early. I'm sorry Shiori-san. I apologize to you as well," she spoke to Tora, "I assume that you would have been the father. Excuse me, I have other patients to tend to."
With that the nurse left the room, shutting the door behind her. Tiru was silent, stunned by the news, unknowing of how to react to it at all. Her mind traveled back to her trial.
“And now, the evidence of your betrayal of Hana-ko shall be removed.”
Suddenly Raigeki's words made sense. This was her punishment, her unknown, unborn child removed. Naturally as a woman, she felt horrible, but as her own person, she didn't know whether to allow her sadness to show, or to be happy that she was spared living with another mistake. She remained silent, a blank look on her face, staring at the door of the room.

Hearing Tiru’s words Tora’s mind went blank. She spent the night at another man’s house? The next words spoken by Tiru hurt Tora more than anything else had. Tora remembered Lyn; he had seen the man at Tiru’s house though they had exchanged no words to each other. Tora didn’t know how to describe what he was feeling. He wasn’t angry, but he did feel something that was a mix of intense sorrow, betrayal, and a hint of disappointment. Now Tiru wasn’t even looking at Tora, though knowing her personality Tora figured she felt bad about it. Not that that did anything to quell Tora’s feelings.
Hearing Tiru talk about made Tora feel a mixture of things. Happiness that she thought Tora was worthy of being with, sorrow that Tiru thought they had jumped the gun in deciding to date each other, and disappointment knowing she slept with someone else. Her guilt only confused Tora. Should he be angry? Sympathetic? Would one normally yell angrily in this situation or try and comfort the person who felt guilty? Tora had never been in this situation so he didn’t know.
Tora watched as the nurse came in to speak to Tiru. Apparently it was something very important. Tora was about to tell Tiru it was alright to go into the hall and talk but she had already told the nurse it was ok to talk in the room. Tora listened to the conversation and was horrified. Tiru had gotten pregnant? It must’ve been because she slept with Lyn. This made Tora angry though he didn’t say or do anything to show it. He also took into consideration how Tiru must feel having heard this. As the nurse left Tora looked at Tiru and thought about what to say. It would be rude to talk about their relationship when she had just gotten such bad news. ”I’m sorry Tiru” Tora said softly.
This was a tricky situation; how should he feel? Happy that Tiru wasn’t having some else’s kid? Sad that she had lost a potential child? Tora didn’t know what to think so he glanced at Tiru and just said the first thing that came to mind. ”Are you alright Tiru” Tora asked. He didn’t know what to say or do. What did one do in this kind of situation? The only thing Tora could do was wait to see what Tiru would do.

Tiru stayed silent for what would seem like decades. Not making a move, nor occasionally blinking. She was a statue, a hardened unmoving exterior, possibly hollowed out on the inside. Tora's words passed in through one ear, then out the other. Nothing he could say would shake her from how she was feeling.
"..."
It looked like she was going to speak, but the words wouldn't come out. She turned back to face Tora, without realizing that he didn't hear the words she tried to say. If he were close enough to her, he'd see it all in the one visible eye, and written all over her face.
"I don't know what to say. I'm sorry to put you through this." Those words are what she wanted to say.
Tiru didn't want to dwell on it long, actually deciding that Lyn didn't need to know about it. It would only make her feel worse that she lost his child without knowing she had it. Guilt had been a reoccurring theme in her life. In this chapter of her life, she refused to allow it to take hold.
The situation did eat away at her some. Laying down in her bed, she faced Tora, hoping he'd reply to the words she never quite opened her mouth to say. Even if he didn't, she hoped that he'd say something, change the subject, give her something else to think about while they healed up.

With her power lowered, she will only be able to fight to the strength of a ML-S. As to not confuse anyone, Tiru becomes ML-S but is viewed as (Ref rank chart)
The first effect, the limiter, will always be active unless stated otherwise.
The second effect is a basic, very low, healing of the body when she allows all of her compressed energy to flow out. It will seemingly return the majority of her stamina, heal minor wounds (light cuts, bruises, etc), and give her access to her full strength.

Tora didn’t know what to do. This must’ve been hard for Tiru and yet Tora couldn’t say anything or even move to comfort her. He watched Tiru but she was as unmoving as a statue. After a while she turned back to face him and instantly Tora could see what she was thinking. Sometimes Tora could read Tiru like a book, other times it was like trying to read a foreign book held upside down and blindfolded. This time it was the former of the two. Despite knowing what Tiru wanted to say Tora couldn’t react to it. What could he say at a time like this that he hadn’t already said? He was always happy to be by Tiru’s side through good times and bad times alike. Tora didn’t mind being dragged into things as long as he was together with Tiru. ”Don’t worry. I’ll be by your side, I will not leave it. Ever” Tora said quietly but firmly. What he meant by this was that whether it was as friends or lovers he would be there to support her no matter what the endeavor.
Watching as Tiru lay down in her bed Tora thought about what he could say. The quietness of the room and the tension from having heard the nurse’s news made things unbearable. After spending a while debating on what to say Tora finally decided to try and resume the conversation they were having earlier. ”I don’t mean to be insensitive Tiru but I’d like to continue our discussion. I know I’m not the smartest guy out there, or the best looking, or the strongest, and I have trouble understanding what to do in certain situations. However I do know that I love you Tiru. I always have, ever since I first saw you. You’re beautiful, smart, strong, and you have a great personality. In a word you’re perfect Tiru. I was lucky when you agreed to be my girlfriend, even if it was just to fill a void. You know honestly, sometimes I doubted that I was worthy of having a girlfriend like you” Tora said. He once again clenched his fists causing more, louder, sickening cracking noises to be heard from his hand. ”So please tell me Tiru: what are your doubts, how can I fix them, and where do you want to go from here” Tora asked. He coughed a bit after speaking but remained focused on Tiru.

His words sincere, Tiru could feel how much Tora cared for her. He was willing to be there for anything, good or bad. Willing to face any challenge that may appear in their life. In general, he was willing to make it work by any means necessary. While those words were sweet, possibly some of the most romantic things a guy has ever said to her, they didn't do well to calm the storm of emotions.
Though the storm continued to rage, his genuine concern for her did give her a direction. There were a few things he said that she didn't fully agree with. She'd let him know that, but in the moment, she was glad to know that he cared.
Tiru sat up, swinging her legs to the edge of her bed. There wasn't much space between their beds, a good thing because Tiru didn't quite have the strength to move far. Her legs almost gave way as she turned to sit on the edge of Tora's bed, luckily she landed on the bed without touching Tora, or any of his devices hooked up to monitor him.
She laid down slowly, taking extra care to not nudge him in a way to cause him any pain. Her legs slid into the bed, her body being above the sheets that Tora were under. Rolling onto her side, she gingerly placed her arm over his chest, her leg doing the same to his.
"Thank you, Tora-kun."
Her head nuzzled into his side gently. At the moment, she wanted to be near someone that cared for her, and Tora was that person. Even if it were only as friends, which is what she saw him as now, he was closer than any other friend she had. One day they could be lovers again, if time allowed for their bonds to grow. Before that love could blossom, Tiru had something to set straight.
"I'm not perfect, please don't see me as so. You aren't what you think you are either. Tora-kun, you have some of the most attractive eyes I've ever seen."
Truthfully, Tiru had a thing for shades of blue and pink. Mostly any variation of those colors happened to be the most beautiful to her. While down the path of beautiful eyes, she couldn't help but think about Hidane's, her vizard friend. Something about his special eye was appealing, maybe its similarity to her eye caused the thought to linger.
"You are smart and you are very strong. You've taught me a lot, even getting me better at Hakuda. I've never been able to use that area of combat until you came into my life. I love you Tora-kun. I do. I just don't think it is a... well... you know. That kind of love yet. Maybe in the future, but not now."
Her voice, still the forward tone that she has adopted, cracked slightly at the mention of her love of him. She was still Tiru, nothing would change that, but she was able to make these decisions now. Her choice was to keep Tora as a friend, and if they did fall for each other later, she'd consider him as more.
"Please don't get upset Tora-kun. I hope you can understand."
She placed a kiss on his cheek, her body so sweetly cuddling against him. Tiru would always be close to him, no matter what. Hopefully he could understand that she wasn't ready for him, possibly never would be, but was open to the idea. If there were a tangible zone to place friends that couldn't quite become lovers, Tora would be there, population of one.

Tora watched as Tiru started moving. The most surprising thing of all was happening; Tiru was climbing into his bed! Tora watched as she avoided touching the machinery or him as she moved. Tora loved the gentleness Tiru had. Feeling her body through the sheet made Tora blush slightly. To hide his embarrassment Tora turned his head away from Tiru rather quickly, though he was sure she had seen his blushing face. It was then that he thought that maybe it was a good thing he couldn’t move to well. It was both heaven and hellish having Tiru right there. On one had she was nice, gentle, warm, and he loved her. On the other hand he couldn’t embrace her, didn’t know if it was ok to kiss her on the forehead, and of course Tiru seemed as vulnerable as ever. Not that Tora would ever take advantage of that mind you. ”anytime Tiru” Tora replied quietly. Once his blush had gone away Tora looked back at Tiru. Damn her for being so perfect!
Tora smirked and shook his head after hearing Tiru speak. ”You can say that till you’re blue in the face. It doesn’t change the fact that I see you as the symbol of perfection Tiru” Tora said. He didn’t care if she disagreed; this was how he saw her. Something perfect, something to be honored and respected, most importantly though as something he wasn’t quite worthy of being with. Maybe someday in the future but for now Tiru was out of his reach, well figuratively speaking of course. ”Thanks, and I could say the same thing to you” Tora said. He didn’t know much about what girls liked to hear but hopefully he was doing a good job.
Words Tora never thought he’d ever heard had been spoken. Nobody had ever called Tora smart. Certainly his strength had been acknowledged but coming from someone who had just achieved bankai, somehow the words lost their meaning. The words ‘I love you’ rang in Tora’s ears as they escaped Tiru’s lips. What followed that didn’t make Tora feel too good but he took it in stride. Hearing Tiru’s sweet voice Tora moved his arm, ignoring the intense pain, and gently stroked her hair and the side of her cheek. Tora showed no pain on his face as he moved his arm; he didn’t want to worry Tiru more than he already had. ”I could never be upset with you Tiru and I do understand. Just know two things, one: I am always here for you, and two: I’ll always love you, now and forever” Tora said. He knew about Tiru’s feelings for Hana so things sort of made sense. Still laying there in a hospital bed, cuddled with the girl he loved wasn’t too bad either.

It wasn't like she was telling him to change his entire view on her. Tiru simply didn't want to be called perfect. Nobody was perfect, and of all people, she could be seen as furthest from it. Personality flaws, weakness in the traits that all shinigami practiced at, Tiru wasn't perfect in anything. In fact, the only form of perfection she could be seen as having, the ability to work through her flaws when they are presented to her.
She'd been through many hardships. Lost loves, confusion between who to trust, and even losing her unborn child. With all of that, any person would break down, never able to go on living. Tiru did break down, her difference, her perfection, still moving forward in life. If Tora wanted to continue calling her that, though she may not like it, she'd allow him to do so only because he was that close of a friend.
Tora's body shifted as he moved his arm. Being so close, she could hear the cracking his body made, signaling that he shouldn't be moving at all. She felt horrible knowing that she was the cause of his movement, but she knew that robbing him of this moment with her would only make him feel worse, which in turn would make her feel worse as well. That thought, along with wanting to be close to someone that she loved to some extent, she let him do as he pleased.
His hand stroked her hair, sending a pleasant sensation into her body. He then moved his hand to caress her cheek. She sighed in delight, enjoying the gentle pleasure of his embrace. They may have shared moments before, but this one felt more real. If he wanted to go about making her love him, this was a step in the right direction.

She heard him say those last words before her eyes shut, unable to open again. Indulging in the emotions she was so in tune with, Tiru drifted to sleep while he spoke to her. Maybe unknown to him, Tiru wouldn't hear his finished thoughts then. As she fell deeper into her slumber, her body instinctively burrowed into his side.
Her soft breathing wisp past her lips. It seemed that Tiru had an issue with snoring, if you could call it that. The little sounds she made sounded more cute than obnoxious as most snoring did. Too comfortable, both physically and emotionally, even with the bad news, Tiru slept at his side. She'd wake what would feel like hours later to her, but in reality, she'd be out for days, long enough to be healed completely. Her bankai trial took more out of her than she thought. Hopefully, Tora would be healed as well, though assuming his injuries would keep him there longer than her, she wouldn't fret that he'd heal eventually.
On the day she would wake, she'd officially be a brand new Tiru, ready to take on the rest of her life. Whatever that would bring, still unknown.

Description:

Tiru refuses to fight to her full capabilities without good reason. With that thought, she created this technique. Asshuku sa reta kaminari is first a limiter. It takes her perceived power down to that of a ML-W (no matter what rank she is). The perception of her power by those strong at sensing reiatsu will see that she is stronger than a ML-W (ref rank chart). With her power lowered, she will only be able to fight to the strength of a ML-S. As to not confuse anyone, Tiru becomes ML-S but is viewed as (Ref rank chart)
The first effect, the limiter, will always be active unless stated otherwise.
The second effect is a basic, very low, healing of the body when she allows all of her compressed energy to flow out. It will seemingly return the majority of her stamina, heal minor wounds (light cuts, bruises, etc), and give her access to her full strength.
Beginner Rei control = Tiru will look to be that of a ML-W
Below Average = Tiru will look to be that of a ML-W
Average= Tiru will look to be that of a ML-W
Above Average = Tiru will look to be that of a ML-A
Advanced = Tiru will look to be that of a ML-A
Mastered = Tiru will look to be that of a ML-S [/spoiler]

Tiru has such an extensive knowledge of Reiatsu and how to control it that she instinctively manipulates her Reiatsu to take little to no damage from Electric Type abilities. Her Reiatsu is Electric Type.
Any electric Type ability coming from a person of or below her rank deals no damage.
+1-2 rank: Deals 30% damage to her

Feeling a slight pain in his side Tora glanced over at Tiru and saw she had fallen asleep. He wasn’t sure of when she had drifted off but he hoped that she had at least heard what he had said about understanding her predicament and how he could never be upset with her. Tiru looked so cute sleeping, especially as she burrowed into his side.
Tora figured that Tiru would sleep better in her own bed. He waited until the time was right and then made his move. Ignoring the fact that he wasn’t supposed to move Tora picked Tiru up princess style and carried her to her bed. Gently placing her in the bed Tora pulled the sheets up to Tiru’s neck and smiled softly. After watching for a few moments Tora made his way back to his own bed and lay down.
As he lay down Tora felt his activities catching up with him. Talking as much as he had had put a bit of a strain on his throat, as for moving Tiru well that had further damaged his arms but it had been worth it. Sleep hit Tora like a truck and he was out like a light. He slept soundly, barely making any noise whatsoever. His breathing was weakened but as the days passed it got better and stronger. His body was also a wreck but it did recover as he slept.
To Tora it had only felt like a day but truthfully he had been asleep for almost a whole week. His body had repaired itself enough that he could be discharged from the hospital. A slight warning that his body may still be sore and a lesson learned Tora came out of this experience a better man for the most part. In his mind Tora replayed his conversation with Tiru over and over again. Sure she had dumped him, again, but there was always hope.
