This is the first thread you should read before anything. Not knowing the rules will not in any way excuse you from any penalties given breaking one or multiple rules.

Members and staff members alike are to follow the rules below. By joining the Bleach Society Role-Playing forum you agree to obey these rules and understand that penalties will be given if you disobey these rules. The severity of these penalties will be decided by the BSRP staff dependent on the given situation.

[STYLE=background-color: #f1f1f1; border-top: 5px #02a1a7 solid; padding: 10px; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; color: #535353;][STYLE=font-size: 20px; font-color: 02a1a7; font-family: georgia; text-align: left; font-weight: bold;]GENERAL RULES[/style]
1. Respect:
A. You are to respect other members and staff members on the site. We do not ask you to be best friends with everyone, but you can make the choice to tolerate other members. So keep it civil around the site, and try to talk things out if there is an issue. If you didn't succeed to talk an issue out with another member, consult a staff member about it and they'll try their best to help you with it.

B. Refrain from continuously bothering the staff about things like grading your profile on the site or messenger services. It's rude, and we try our best to get work done on the site. Remember, the staff are also people with lives of their own.

2. Harassment:
A. Refrain from discrimination at all times. The word speaks for itself, so don't be sexist, racist or simply demeaning to your fellow members or staff members. This is one of the more serious offences so please pay attention to your words. We do realize jokes will be made about these subjects, but we ask you to be respectful when someone feels hurt over a joke.

B. Another serious offence is sexual harassment, this includes stalking people and simply acting sexual towards other members.

C. Flaming and spamming is naturally not allowed and will be punished. If you want to make a point it's a lot more effective to give a valid argument rather then starting to insult people or senselessly spam them.

3. Content:
A. Explicit content is simply not allowed as stated in the Proboards Terms of Service. This does not only include pictures and videos, but also text (further elaboration on text in the RP-rules). This means no porn or hentai, regardless of whether there's censoring or not. Any adult content will be removed immediately.

B. Don't post your advertising content in any other board then the advertisement board, it's simple. Here's the link to the advertisement/affiliation board: [link]

4. Language:
A. Keep chat-speak to a minimum, it's a role-playing site; if you don't know proper English you might be in the wrong place.

B. Vulgar language is allowed, but we do ask you to keep it nice around the site. Excessive language is not appreciated by everyone and might be offending to your fellow members.

5. Accounts:
We are a one account per member site, so refrain from using and making multiple accounts. You can make multiple characters so you can't make profit out of it anyway. It's simply confusing for the staff if you have multiple accounts, and remember we can check whether you're using multiple accounts in the same household. For this same reason, please consult a staff member when multiple people in one household are on this site (siblings etc).

6. User Profile:
Avatar width and height is restricted to a maximum of 100x100 pixels in height and width respectively, with any larger image being automatically resized. Gifs are allowed, but remember that any images must still follow Rule 3.

Signature size is restricted to a maximum of 500x400 pixels in width and height respectively. Unlike avatars though there is no auto-resize for it, and so this is monitored. Any breach of the dimensions and you shall be notified either through via PM or other communication. If it's not resized or removed, staff will remove it for you.

[STYLE=background-color: #f1f1f1; border-top: 5px #02a1a7 solid; padding: 10px; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; color: #535353;][STYLE=font-size: 20px; font-color: 02a1a7; font-family: georgia; text-align: left; font-weight: bold;]POSTING RULES[/style]
Before you start role-playing, please register a profile and make sure it gets approved before you do start making in-character threads. We role-play in third person and third-person only on this forum. While you are role-playing, do not god-mod, meta-game or power-post. Do not involve personal matters within role-play, this might cause rather dramatic effects that nobody really needs. When you post in-character we ask you to at least post 200 words, which is about five healthy paragraphs. Use the thread tags correctly if you don't want random people barging in your thread. Also, don't make Gary stus and Mary sues, in other words, perfect characters. Same goes for characters that are exactly like actual canon characters.

1. Important threads:
Before starting to make a profile or start role-playing you should check up on some threads. These threads are required to read before making a profile for guidelines you should be aware of before making your profile. Dependent on what race you make you can search up what you should know in some threads.

- Plot
- Profile Guidelines
- Race Guides and Information

2. Profile:
A. Before you start role-playing you need to have an approved profile so you have an actual character to role-play with. This also shows us you are capable and won't disturb fellow members with a lack of knowledge.

B. Profiles are to be written in third person, always.

C. Do not make Gary Stus and Mary Sues, perfect people. We're all human and although we offer a wide variety of races, none are to be perfect beings. Everything has a flaw and a weakness, make sure to state that in your profile.

D. Do not post in another members profile when you're not staff. We understand you'd like to help, but we can handle it, trust us.

E. In total you are allowed to have as many characters as you believe you can handle, but remember that if you do have many characters you are expected to play them, otherwise your claims for them may very well be stripped and profile archived.

3. Role-playing:
A. Not only do we write our profiles in third person, we also role-play in third person only.

B. BSRP is a beginner to intermediate role-playing site, but regardless of roleplayer skill there is a 200 minimum word count while you're posting in character to both help new roleplayers and improve old ones . We won't bombard you if your post is a 190 words but make sure you don't have us kick your ass because you wrote five lines of text.

C. God-modding is not allowed, it's a term used in role-play to describe it when someone says another character performs an action or is automatically damaged. Here is a simple example:
Bad: Ichigo pushed Rob off the airplane
Good: Ichigo threw his arm at Rob, hoping to hit his back and push him off of the airplane.

D. Meta-gaming is a term used for when a character claims to know something he couldn't possibly know, this is of course also forbidden. Here's an example:
Bad: Rob thought to himself; That Ichigo is such a dick and Ichigo immediately responded "I'm not a dick!"
Good: Ichigo noticed Rob seemed to be thinking to himself as he asked: "What are ya thinking about buddy?"

E. Power-posting is again a term in role-play to describe something that is not allowed. It means you are constantly posting in a thread without any respect for a posting order whatsoever. Perhaps even double posting. Obviously you shouldn't do this as it is not only against the rules but also really annoying.

F. Personal matters are not to be taken in consideration in a role-play. Although we understand you can't entirely obey to this rule, we are mild with it and plead you to at least try to keep the peace between you and your fellow members.

G. Sexual content will not be allowed here in posts, so that means no intercourse between people. If you really want to do the act, do it with personal messages. Mature boards are against Proboards ToS and we do not care that other sites have it. We understand sex and rape are things that are however possible, so you can mention it, but by no means describe it, it's still a pg-13 forum. Just fade it to black.

4. Thread Tags:
When starting a thread most members will want to specify what kind of thread it is going to be. Not everyone like other people hopping in your thread and screwing around in it, which is why we have thread tags. There are several tags and we advise you to use them and read this through good before you do; it might save you from getting into mortal danger. Here are the tags you can use:

[open] - This thread is completely open for everyone to join.
[closed] - This thread is closed and no one can join, it goes hand in hand with private training.
[private] or [invite] - This thread is only open for invited people. If someone wants to join in, they must have the consent of the other members before joining.
[member name] - This thread is specifically for a member or if multiple names stated, members.
[no violence] or [NV] - This means no one should use violence towards another member in this thread.
[no maim] or [NM] - This means you can fight in a thread, but no serious injury should happen like loss of limb.
[no death] or [ND] - This means you can fight in a thread, but no members can die.

5. Death:
It is a sad part of life but a natural one. On BSRP if a character dies they are usually reincarnated. But that is usually for Humans to Spirit. As for spirit to human, it would be a new character due to the IC time and you don't want to Roleplay a baby.

Thus when a spiritual being dies they are dead. Now some would want to just remake their characters but that means same abilities, same powers, etc. Otherwise people could just re-use all their training and plots to just return to where they once were. As such, it must be a new character (new history, abilities, etc) unless it is a human-character moving on. Sorry.

First and foremost, the Cbox is a privilege not a necessity. The Cbox can be removed at any time, for any reason if you guys decide to abuse the cbox or IC cbox. They are both paid cboxs which means that in any event a mod sees fit, you can get banned. There are several rules for the regular site cbox that are shown on the side of the cbox and they do in fact apply to anyone. A lot of people want to argue about how the rules don't apply to staff, but they do as well. No one should be above it, regardless of stature. The cbox now has the ability to use Avatars/Icons; this isn't something a lot like, but do make do with. If you do use an icon, for aesthetic purposes please make sure the icons are 100x100 and no brightly colored seizure inducing gifs.

PS: If you get banned from the cbox, do NOT use proxies to get back on the cbox. Seriously I catch you doing that crap, you WILL be permanently banned. Those who are found impersonating them will suffer for it as well.

A. ICcbox Rules
This cbox has the same sort of rules as the regular cbox, however the function of the cbox is different. The IC cbox is an In Character cbox where you can have some fun doing random things with other characters. Sure, you can do it in regular threads, but the ICcbox makes things a bit faster and usually a load more enjoyable. There will be NO trolling in the ICcbox and NO spamming. You will all keep your posts to one line; don't extend your post with spamming five one or two word posts or actions. You will be banned or warned. You also do not have to worry about things like "Arrancar, shinigami or hollow. Lets FIGHT!!!" Nah, its more for fun and social interactions. A lot of the time, you will want to pick a certain setting to IC and no one else should be able to just show up there. This goes without saying, but anything that occurs in the ICbox can occur on site, meaning that if two parties meet, then they can of course transition that to the forum itself Of course, it depends on the parties involved. There are certain things you will post with:

-Text text- Indicates normal actions. Also can be used with *Text text* . Example: -He sat down at the table-

(Text text) Indicates thought. Examples: (I think I should sit down..)

((Text text)) Indicates OOC talk. Example: ((Hey man, stop messing with her D;))

Emotes- Those are completely fine. You can talk with emotes all you want.

Please please don't spam or clutter the ICcbox with OOC talk.
